After the previous nights multitude of disasters with mount and laptop trying the Tak60 out with the Atik, I gave up on that and reduced the reliance on the lappy and refitted the 1000d to the scope last night

 

The moon was low but still making itself known on the subs, very prominent vignetting in this scope, so I concentrated on getting decent flats so I could compensate in processing.

 

Managed an hours worth of 4 minute subs at 800asa before I gave up on it because it was getting close to a meidian flip and my confidence iin the mount after the previous nights debacle put me off doing one. Two freak gusts of wind lost 2 of them then processing took 2 more out.

 

Still with field curvature cos I am bodging the SW reducer/flattener on there, needs loads more data but I quite like the fov so I can forgive it that.

 

All in all this scope is looking promising

It would be Graham but it was with the 1000d, I gave up on the atik / tak combo the night before, too many things went wrong and too many things for my addled brain to cope with. 1000d uses a few less brain cells if stuff goes wrong
