I like your thinking Dave, using the car is a brilliant idea.

I don't know what capture software you are running.

I use Fire Capture in which you can use a 640 X 480 ROI capture window.

That way you do not need a Barlow .

Great images by the way.

 I did start using Sharpcap, but then  switched to FireCapture later. Fist time I'd used FC in anger, and I did like it. Images seemed better in FC. I was using an ROI in both programs, 320x something in sharpcap, and 120 by something in FC, so frame rates were decent, about 60fps. Reckon I still need a barlow though

Yes you will using the 174.

I use the 120 which has a much smaller chip so I can get away with it.

I have the 120mc Graham…so maybe next time?

That is what I am using on the back of my 10 inch Meade
