That is an interesting take on this old favourite Dave.

In fact the more I stare at it the more I like it 👍

Nice. What do you use for processing out of interest?

Hi bob i used Siril using the script function for stacking and Startools for processing, I just had a play with Siril extract Ha O111 and composed in startools using bi colour osc option to give me this result which I quite like but colouring is subjective I tend to over do things at times but scaled back a bit here

Just wondering, Pixinsight is a huge investment (although pales vs the outlay we make on our kit) but something as simple as SCNR will quickly do away with the green stars. Other methods are available of course. A lot of people seem to get Siril to sing (Cuiv seems to like it) but I never got on with it!

I guess that when significant parts of the spectrum are rejected by filtering it becomes only a best guess when trying to recover them to get a 'visual' image.

Yes startools can rid green stars in colour module ,again colour is  subjective and ones processing skills ,im familiar with startools its simple to understand for me and meets my needs and only around £40 i have seen a lot of pi videos it's not for me too much going on .

Really like the last iteration Dave. Regarding PI, I use it a lot, but as well as a huge investment in money, it's a huge investment in time too. I have often pulled my hair out with PI, and I can't afford to do that too much nowadays..

Anyway.. Great result
