A wild day on Kinder

I love Kinder. The weekend before we did the Pennine Way back in 1989 we decided to walk the first couple of days to be prepared and we had thick fog. It was really atmospheric with all the groughs forming weird shapes looming out at us. We used compass bearings and arrived spot on at the downfall. A week later when we started for real it was hot and as clear as a bell and we only took a few bearings and missed the downfall by a mile 😄.

Hi Dave,

That sounds like you captured the very essence of Kinder there Dave. Didn’t need a compass today, but have done in the past..from Grindsbrook across to the downfall
