Flattener or reducer/flattener?

Hi folks.

I'm hopefully getting my grubby little mitts on a 2nd hand 80mm F7 triplet. I've been on to FLO for advice regarding accessories as I've only imaged with my newt. They've given me the option of a flattener or 0.8 reducer/flattener, stating that the latter probably won't correct as well as the dedicated flattener.

With DSO targets in mind, can anyone offer any advice on what would be a better choice?
