Popular Post +Graham Posted April 16, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted April 16, 2023 At the beginning of the year I managed to drop my QSI 683 onto the concrete floor of the obs with catastrophic results. I did try to repair it and replaced the USB socket but unfortunately the damage I had caused went much deeper. I had to send it back to QSI in Portugal for investigation and possible repair. Several weeks later and a good few hundred pounds lighter I finally had my baby back. Since then I have not had a single night of clear skies to test it out. That was until last night Conditions were not ideal with the fog rolling in but I did manage an hour in all 3 of the narrow band channels. Bit late in the season for narrow band but I had the chance to go for the Heart neb so I grabbed it. Had some issues with the Green channel in the Hubble pallet so had to improvise.
