A sunset with a story..

Decided to try a sunset across Carsington Water last night, not far from us, not sure why I had never tried this before.

 

So evening walk and grabbed a few sunset shots, back in the car, and decided to wind back through the small roads.

 

Getting quite dark, and just before I got back to the main road, there was a large bang and I knew immediately the front left tyre had gone. Bloody great pothole I hadn’t seen. Stopped in a few yards to find myself behind another car with two young ladies, who had also hit it harder and lost both of the left tyres. Between us we nearly blocked the junction onto the main road.

 

Quick chat, they had called the RAC, I called Green Flag, but half through the call two police calls swung around the corner with blues and twos and stopped.

Thinking that they had come to ‘save us’ they found out what had happened and stuck a cone in the pothole, but said they were on another call and zoomed off once we had cleared some room.

 

I stood by the pothole and waved the next car away from it. It stopped and it turned out to be my old physio I hadn’t seen in 15 years or so. He offered to change the tyre. I can’t do that because of my bad back. He did just that.

 

A guardian angel! Thanks Mel. Came home on the space saver.

 

Anyone know the correct way of complaining /trying to get renumeration??? Council? Highways Agency?
