+bryand Posted May 26, 2023 Share Posted May 26, 2023 I've had an AZ Pro for some time, and I like it very much. I got it because at the time it was the beefiest Alt-Az mount available. It handles my 5" refractor or 9.25" SCT with no problems. I got the ADM saddle for it, which is 1" longer than the standard one. The built-in lithium battery failed after about 4 years, but a replacement was readily available. I also have the iOptron Tri-Pier to put it on. It's hefty and it works, but maybe a Berlebach with the appropriate top plate would be better, especially if you already have the tripod. +bryand Posted June 30, 2023 Share Posted June 30, 2023 (edited) The iOptron top for my Berlebach Uni works OK, but my refractor fouled the tripod legs at maximum elevations.
