They're beautiful Dave,  I particularly like the common spotted and the bee orchids.

Very nice. Is it a matter of knowing where to look for these or just a lot of patience?

How big was the slow worm, I don't think I've seen one before?

Hi Stu,

 They like dryish heath like conditions, but we have also seen them in oak woodland. We live in a good area for them, but very rarely see them, although we know people who have seen them in their garden. So in reality, being out, and being lucky is the only hope
