Nice day for it Graham, although ew may pay for that later I think.

 

The blue dragonly is a male broad bodied chaser. The females are bright yellow. Curious co-incidence I have had a yellow female in our veg patch this week, and we're nowhere near a river.

We are supposed to get thunderstorms this evening.

Not had a single one yet.

Mind we hardly ever get decent thunderstorms here as the land is too flat

It is the river Gipping at this point it changes to the Orwell at the other end of town.
