It won't be that long before they are both at opposition.

Saturn Aug 27, Jupiter Nov 3

Both will be well placed for us 🔭

 

And you can see from the above image how the rings are really starting to level out.

Cassini will be difficult this year....

@Ibbo   Steve : one thing i'm after later this year (its on the bucket list) is a shadow transit of Titan on Saturns disc.

Maybe this year or 2024 /2025 i'll have a chance.

Have you (or anyone else ) seen one ??  (I can't even recall Damian Peach posting one )

I cannot remember seeing a saturn transit.
