Star trail over Hartington

Went glamping for a couple of nights up near Hartington, took normal camera along - got a passable star trail! Was cool to see the Pleiades just there when I went for a leak at 3am without having to let my eyes adjust even.

It would be interesting to know whether the trail was a meteor or satellite. Great photo, in any case!

Pretty sure it'll have been an aeroplane, it's slap bang on the flight path for all sorts of routes it seems, according to Flight Radar... And thanks.

Nice image Rob. Yes, it's a plane, if you look carefully or make the image larger you can see two lines created by the lights. I've found loads of these as I've been going through my 'hope to catch a perseid' images from earlier in the month.

NIce one Rob. I caught a glimpse of the Plieades rising in the east last night, after a long imaging session...
