Popular Post Magellan Boy Posted August 30, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted August 30, 2023 I continue my globular tour with Caldwell 47 (NGC 6934) in Delphinus. 65 x 20s exposures taken on the 21st August 2023 using an Altair Hypercam 26C at 100 gain (plus darks, flats and flat darks), through an Orion Optics UK AG12 Astrograph mounted on an EQ8 mount. A 0.95x Wynne Corrector and Astronomik CLS-CCD filter were also employed. No guiding was used on account of the short exposures. I'm afraid I don't have a chance of capturing M4 from my obsy at any time of the year. Too many houses, trees and a rising slope in that direction! ☹️ Did I also mention the Aurora Derbeinsis? I still enjoy my planets though...... 🪐 Yeah, depending on the atmospherics, Derby casts a bit of a glow in the south to spoil my otherwise Bortle 5 skies here in Belper.
