Popular Post +Derbyshire Dave Posted September 14, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted September 14, 2023 Few weeks ago we stayed in a caravan site at the end of the Lleyn peninsula. We had lots of clouds at night, so no astro photos, but noted that the camp site guy said 'Oh we get a lot of astronomers here'. It really is fantastically dark. Well beyond even the last village, Aberdaron. Did get one nice sunset though which might hint at how good it could be.. It's a good place for coastal walking, and did a lot of swimming too. Obviously that would be out in winter, but this could be a place for MW shots in summer. Red cross shows the location.. The last none Kelling EMS trip I dis was Exmoor. Bob Dobber Posted September 14, 2023 Share Posted September 14, 2023 Loved the Lleyn when we went back in 2015, mostly cycling, but only really worked because the weather was superb. If it had been a bit rainy there wouldn't have been a lot to do!
