Popular Post +Derbyshire Dave Posted October 10, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted October 10, 2023 (edited) We decided to have a jolly on Saturday and went to Lichfield. Lovely place haven't been for years. Very surprised to find that in the cathedral, rotating slowly was the Gaia installation. Only had a phone, but got a snap.. it doesn't do justice to the size that the earth model seems to be when you are close to it. Click and click again in Flickr to get a better idea of size. +Bino-viewer Posted October 10, 2023 Share Posted October 10, 2023 I'd like to see it, and although i've been to Litchfield a few times, but for some reason, i've never been inside the cathedral. I always like to visit cathedrals and have seen a good few of our more famous ones, Lincoln and Salisbury being my favourites, so i really must get a trip in to see Litchfield. Driving there currently is a pita, with all the roadworks to the north so i really ought to go on the train. My father-in-law lives in Elford (near Tamworth) and we visited him yesterday. The journey from Derby was a nightmare. I've been to a fair few cathedrals in my time, Durham and Chester are two of my favourites, although I've enjoyed them all. I think Peterborough was the last one I visited about 5 years ago.
