Nice title 👌 I used to have a poster like that in my bedroom. I assume this means no astro fun for a while?

It's not good. Although it can change in a matter of hours or even minutes. Admittedly it's a bit tie-dye in appearance, but I find it pretty accurate.

Check it out and bookmark it!

It's all too beautiful live ...

I'll never tire of hearing the voice of Heather Small.

A bit confused by the original post ?

Are we talking jet stream or general weather ??

Not looking good. Nice vortex in the Atlantic. Anyone got a boat?

There is actually a big area of high pressure here (SW of UK) showing 1030mb.

I'm expecting the new few days to be fairly settled ??

I thought the site showed the general position of the jet stream, which apparently can shift slightly. I could be wrong about this. Generally, when the site shows more blue and green (slower air) over the UK the seeing is better. Purples and reds indicate faster airflow and generally poorer seeing. I find this site quite accurate for what the seeing is going to be like in this respect. I'm not a meteorologist though. I don't have any 'ologies' in fact lol.

Getting better ...

That Atlantic vortex is getting nearer, and bigger, I believe. Maybe it's approaching the Midlands? According to the site the wind in the centre of the vortex is around 6 km/h, the purple-white at its fastest can be up to 400 km/h!

Looks to be around 113 km/h in the West Midlands conurbation.
