I thought the site showed the general position of the jet stream, which apparently can shift slightly. I could be wrong about this. Generally, when the site shows more blue and green (slower air) over the UK the seeing is better. Purples and reds indicate faster airflow and generally poorer seeing. I find this site quite accurate for what the seeing is going to be like in this respect. I'm not a meteorologist though. I don't have any 'ologies' in fact lol. Maybe it's approaching the Midlands? According to the site the wind in the centre of the vortex is around 6 km/h, the purple-white at its fastest can be up to 400 km/h!
