Popular Post Doc Posted March 26 Popular Post Share Posted March 26 Had 5 days at Applecross staying in a B&B in Lochcarron. All I can say is the weather for three days was awful, four seasons in 10 minutes, we had snow, rain, wind, hail, and sun on top of the mountains. Finally caught up with these lovely Ptarmigans on our last day up at Bealach na Ba also known as the pass of the cattle. Also had views of Golden Eagle, White Tailed Sea Eagle, Great Northern Divers, Red Throated Divers, Black necked Grebes, Slavonian Grebes, and Black Guillimots. We finished on 73 species. Also on the way up we stopped at Kilwinning near Ayr and in pouring rain we managed to see the Myrtle Warbler. So I finishedf on 2 new ticks.
