I didn't know they had a '61' version as well as the '71'

Yes rob the R61has  300mm fl , R71 350mm the pricing is quite nuts going from the R51 to 61 though , George went for the sweet spot with the 61 and also a samyang 135mm now residing in Spain , he did say he has imaged more in the last 6 weeks than he did all year in the uk 🇬🇧.

I also see there is now a V3 Redcat. Is this down to the new fancy pants focuser...?

 Yes rob the v3 has a totally different focussing system, no vignetting and a normal focuser as opposed to a helical design, George did say he wouldn’t go back to a helical the new system is really good , the v3 51 is £850 the 61 then nearly doubles in price I don’t get it , makes no sense does it really cost that more for a lens 10mm bigger 🤷🏻‍♂️.
