cosmic dave Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 I asked this question on SGL but got no answers so does anyone know if its possible to mount a 90mm evostar skywatcher refractor on a celestron goto mount (for a nexstar 80) i cant see a problem if the scope is well balanced. all i would need is a kit to mount some telescope rings to the goto mount ???? Check the specs of the mount, in particular the load bearing capacity, then add up all the weight you intend to put on it. I like to aim at no more than 80% of the mounts capacity for a good stable platform.
