So what will I need to add to my Dob 250?

A Telrad for certain, or a Rigel Quick finder, which is similar. Just about all Dob owners have one.

A dew shield, made out of a camping or exercise mat.

Eventually a dew control heater system.

A RACI finder, doesn't half save your back and neck.

A decent star atlas. One of the best ones is the Sky and Telescope Pocket Star Atlas, a useful size, and plasticized pages.

Modding the base plate bearings, so that it rotates smoothly. Various options available.

Adding a Wixey angle finder and a setting circle, to assist finding things.

Hope that helps.

Hi. Looks like Martyn has listed the majority of things that I have in my signature anyway.

I'm sorry if my initial post was not very clear.
