Hi from another newbie

Well, as patience isn't my middle name, I took the plunge and bought a Skywatcher Explorer 150P with EQ3-2 mount from FLO. It's assembled and I have had a few hours with it tonight. Just general looking around and appreciating the views. Highlight of the evening was seeing the bands on Jupiter and 4 of its moons. Totally gripped with it all, never thought I would be seeing sights like these.

I can also understand why everyone has a moon filter.

Excited just doesn't describe it. An old hobby has a new lease of life, far better than ever before.

Congrats Terry - great choice - your set up is exactly the same as my first scope just over 5yrs ago. It's good but I'll show you how to make it really come alive - hope you can join us at a dark site meeting soon :)
