Full moon larry let down

Couldn't believe how bad the moon looked through the scope.

Take a look at your scope cap. Does it have a removable part? (leaves a smaller hole)

If so, try putting that on with the hole open. It cuts out excess light. :)

"That jupiter/moon combo looked nice with the MK 1 eyeball"

Yup it did too. Jupiter started on the left of the moon last evening - then when the moon set this morning it was on the right. Was there a conjunction overnight or something?

The full Moon is a surprisingly interesting photographic target but I agree that double stars are good targets when most other DSOs are washed out. I've done a few webcam runs during a full Moon.
