Info on focuser for celestron c8 xlt

Evening all,as ive discussed in previous posts ive got an astro shed to house my telescope and computers,im currently planning to build a warm room very shortly as my pcs are having trouble starting up due to dew and the cold and to be honest im bloody freezing too,so im gonna get the warm room added after crimbo.

my question is with my pcs housed in the warm room around 4 feet from scope is there anyway i can remotely adjust the focuser wired or wireless? i can adjust it myself but would mean having to keep walking back into other room to see if its in focus on the computer, im talking when ive got my dslr attached and im say in nebulosity taking frame and focus 1 second shots ready to start capture.im fairly new to imaging and just starting to produce some images but as we all know it gets chilly out there and im no wimp lol but it would be nice to operate the scope from a warm room or at least out the cold a little.if its gonna be expensive i do the walking :-)

Hi Paul.

You can get remote operated electric focusers.

They come with a battery powered hand set.

I started off by extending the lead so I could operate it from inside my house.

I then purchase a box of tricks so it is now controled from a usb port on the computer.

I will sort out the name of the makers after I have finished my imaging run tonight.

I think it is something like HYTEC ASTRO.
