Your fave footy team

Mark Thompson (People's Astronomer) is a well-known Norwich City fan. I'm a Southampton fan, as I went to uni there. I am starting to think we're going down. We need to overhaul more experienced clubs like Sunderland and Aston Villa to stay up and it's a tall order.

I'm quite realistic about expectations and not over-optimistic. For example, I wasn't expecting even a draw at Liverpool but should expect us to beat Reading at home. Should we fail, then I'd say relegation is almost inevitable.

I'm guessing most of you here are Leicester City fans or support one of the Nottingham clubs but might expect the odd Wolves, Derby or Coventry fan.

I enjoy watching football but treat fans of other clubs with respect. After all, it would be boring if we all liked the same team.

I've supported many teams over the years, I was born in London and lived very near to Millwall's old ground "The Den" so supported these during my teens. Then moved onto Crystal Palace when I was in my twenties.

I then moved up to Nottingham in my thirties and of course started seeing Forest on a regular basis. But when ever I can I try and see Man Utd at Old Trafford.

My son who is now 12 loves Forest and Utd as well.

Used to go most of Forests home and away games

+ all home reserve games.

Then stopped going when the prices started to get silly.

Went to a few europe home games , and 3 wembley finals (won 1 lost 2)

As yes, I was behind the goal when Des Walker scored his first and only goal

My fave team is England - love watching all the big cup competitions like FA cup, EU cup, and of course World cup but never followed the leagues to any extent. Never been keen on all the commercialism around it now though - much preferred the amateur stuff.

I used to be a cyclist and love the Tour of Britain (formerly Milk Race) which Di and I have marshalled several times - and Tour de France especially - was devastated about recent Lance Armstrong revelations and title stripping - even though he remains the most tested rider in the world who never failed a doping test during his races - nor off road and track random testing. :)

Forest all the way - As red as the blood in my arteries. :) I have supported them thorough good and bad times. Started going on a regular basis when we had an awful manager named Allan Brown - Pre Clough days.

The footie team you support is one of the few constants in life for a lot of people.

I only follow sports that actually involves skill.

Or anything with four wheels and an engine.

Never been a football fan myself. Have followed English, European and of course NBA basketball leagues since I was 10. The mid nineties are some of my best memories, when MJ came back from his sabbatical into the realms of baseball to take the Chicago Bulls on to a total of 6 Championships-great days :) played for my region and England youth team (1 match before being chucked-that's a whole sorry in itself!) for maybe another time :)
