First attempt at planetary(Jupiter)

Jupiter.jpg

CG5

Celestron C90 Mak (1250mm)

SPC 880 flashed to 900

Tried with barlow but focus seemed tricky, maybe the limit of the scope.

Best of 2000 frames at 30fps.

I'm pretty happy with it as my first attempt :)

It seemed to overexpose on 10fps, I guess i'd have to fiddle with other settings, will wait until Jupiter is nice and heigh another night.

nice one Eddy

Just to add that at 30fps you will be compressing the data 10fps is optimum with 900 I believe

alter the exposure time or drop the gain don't use the auto settings

get lots of AVI's and have fun stacking and processing them and the higher it is the better so if you are able best time at the moment should be around midnight weather permitting

Nice one.

Agree with Ibbo (Steve) above 10fps the spc's compress data so you lose data.
