The Geminids are the last of the meteor showers of this year and peak on the evening of December 13/14. Meteor rates could be as much as 60 or more meteors per hour with good observing conditions. There should also be good opportunities to see meteors - also known as 'shooting stars' - a day or so either side of the peak and a few days leading up to it.
