Hello there, I'm Steve, I've been a lover of the night sky for many years now, I would class myself as a general observer, nothing specific. I'm the proud owner of a Celestron 102 ST and a Meade ETX 125 PE and of course a pair of binoculars !.

I hope to have many hours of interesting chats on here.

Hi Steve welcome to EMS. Like mentioned above, we have a few dark sites, one not too far from you at Wymswold and the other at Belper. The skies at these sites are nice and dark, at Belper the Milky Way is clearly visible! Feel free to pop along one night, keep an eye on the announcements section, meets can be arranged at very short notice (thanks. British weather)! If you like the sites/company, dark site membership costs £20 a year for near unlimited access to both sites, which I think is a real bargain.

Anyway, we are a cracking bunch, any questions just fire away in the relevant section.

Enjoy the forum.

Hi Steve, a warm welcome to the forum.

Looks like you are sorted for kit......until the next bargain comes along.

Feel free to pop over to either of the dark sites next time we get a clear night, usually a Friday or Saturday night, due to peoples work restrictions.

In the meantime, enjoy the forum.
