Rossette Nebular 16.01.2013

Recommended Posts

Despite getting home late last nights clear skies were just too good to miss.

So at 11 oclock I set the scope up on a new target for me, the Rossette Nebular.

I wasn't exactly sure this was going to work as my camera remains unmodded but it turned out better than I hoped.

Helios 200 Newt.

Unmodded 350 D canon.

36 180 second subs at ISO 800.

Stacked in DSS.

Very lightly tweaked in PS6.

Bang in frame Graham.

You're going to have to get that filter out though.

Regards.

Yup it's all been said - very nicely framed Graham - but I agree it'll look the business if you loose the filter. :)

I think you have more in the data than you suspect, but number one priority is flats. WIthout them you really can't begin to separate the truth from the deception. I resisted flats for a while as a beginner but now I know that without them you're stuck - and I image with flatfield scopes from a dark site. If you have any vignetting or skyglow then it's flats, flats, flats.
