Is the dark site near Sawley still active or is there a new site. How much is to become a dark site member. Ps I live in Weston on Trent. As mentioned, keep an eye on the announcements section, and if we do get a good night, we will be at one of the dark sites. We have one at Belper, at a cricket club up on the top of the hill behind shining path cliffs, and another at Wymeswold cricket club. The Wymeswold one is a bit more preferable, as it has better facilities. Both have dark sky, and the milky way is visible from both, but I suspect Belper just wins on that one. Belper though, is a heck of a lot colder, by as much as ten degrees from the valley bottom, so wrap up warm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
