Help needed!

Hi everyone,

So when I want to image the moon last night with the SPC900NC I noticed a dirty great spec of dust right in the centre of the FOV of the camera. I hid this spec in the shadows of craters whilst I finished grabbing the Avis.

Afterwards I had a look at the filter which was spotless and then I looked directly at the chip in the camera and I could see the offending particle. I looks a though it probably won't be able to be blown off but I can give that a try when I purchase an air puffer. If that is the case are there any other age ways to get rid of said particle??

Any help gratefully received-now I know it's there I need to get rid of it!!

Big air blower, or failing that take flats - you can get some cleaning stuff for sensors ... but you'd have to be braver than me to do it :) Eclipse fluid and PEC pads are the usual tools for the job.

All sorted thanks guys. I went with the compressed air (just now) that I had from when I was cleaning out an old laptop-blasted that speck of dust right off! :)

Hi,

get yourself a can of air, i use them when cleaning the inside of computers, not compressed air as they contain some liquid, it has to be just air, get them from the internet they are specially for blowing dust from electrical components.
