Solar maximum?

Interesting theory and one which I think looks likely, and why not? after all we've had a double dip recession :D

Seriously though, I wonder if we can ever really predict the Suns actions, at the end of the day all stars are dynamic, constantly changing chemical reactions. I suspect although there may well be some sort of pattern to these things, variations are bound to occur, maybe our star is becoming very slightly less stable, or maybe more stable even. Not to the extent that we will see huge issues arising from it, but as a star lives through it's cycle it has to change, albeit over a prolonged period.

The last cycle was a double peak and perhaps also C22.

I remember in 2006 waiting for the new cycle to kick off. And I waited ...

You certainly can't set your clock by the Sun.

In any case, I've never done a solar max year on the Ham bands - I always jumped back on 11m for some fun

Don't tell the boys at Finningley I told you that  ;)
