Hi all,

just thought i'd share my favorite scope with you all.

1980s Carl Zeiss Telementor 2 c63/840 f13.3.

A beautiful scope to look at, as well as through, and so well engineered. The internal focuser is really quite something. For those that don't know, the objective lens moves in the tube rather than the eyepiece.

Just wish it had come with original EPs, but i have had it converted to 1.25".

just need a decent star diagonal and some EPs because mine dont do the scope justice.

She's called Jenny by the way.

Nice looking scope. I've not heard of a focuser working like that before. I'll bet phil will be on in a bit with some knowledge. He knows everything about refractors!

Awesome scope Andy.

I looked through one years ago, and it was stunning on the moon.

Our paths have already passed, in a good way ;-)

Figures

It's a beauty of a scope. Will we ever see it at a dark site? :)

Oh yes, its no good having optics like that and leaving them inside. Always scared of scratching it though.

All being well I'll bring it with me on the 12th.
