Hope that I've chosen the correct part of the forum here, can memners advise me on some decent Apps for Androis phones. I am looking for one which I saw which gives a view of the night skey at a particular time at a particular location ( that being where the phone/tablet is)!

I have seen a couple of them, but they tend to fixed at either London or Quebec or capital cities. If it jogs anyones memory, I beleive that Paul Money displayed on when he came to Gibraltar point recently.

Thanks,

Derek

Sky safari is the best one going. Its got several versions, the more you pay the better functionality you get. I've got sky safari + and it works great for me. Can't remember if there is a free version.

Hi Derek. The following apps all have a 'live' window that show you whats in the sky where you point your device.

I run Stellarium, Mobile Observatory (which is excellent because it is packed with info) and in the past I have also ran Skyeye. All are excellent apps and you will probably run more than one, depends what suits your needs.

Hope this helps a little.
