The Garnet star

With my 3 month stint on 12 hour nights delayed for a couple of weeks, I had a clear sky last night so took the opportunity.

I wanted a look at the NGC7331 super nova but had to wait a while for it to appear so had an hour on the Garnet;

Overexposed target star but I liked the look so left alone. A couple of stretches, background gradient addressed and a small saturation bump to bring out the background nebulosity.

Thanks for looking.

Regards.

It is a bright star, very red, I've seen it visual a few times, you have captured it really well.

Great shot Paul. The star field is really rich, I haven't seen this I will look out for it tonight :)

Ah ok thanks Mick.

I could tell from the first sub it was bright and thought perhaps 600s subs were too much.

Regards.
