NGC 4631 'The Whale Galaxy' A work in progress.

After all your kind and positive comments with my first effort I have decided to make this target into my personal project to see what I can achieve.

 

Set back up on her last night and took another 5 hours of data.

 

Total so far is now just shy of 9 hours of 300 second subs.

 

Combined both runs in DSS and tweaked in PS6

 

For my next run I intend to increase the sub length to 600 seconds to see if I can bring out some of the finer details.

 

Then it will be get some filters or some kind person to take the RGB and put some colour into it.

 

Any advice on improving this project is welcomed.
