ROS 2013 [QC, CANADA]

Hi everyone,

 

Here are the pictures I took at the ROS 2013 at St-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud on Saturday May 4th, 2013.

 

ROS = (Rendez-vous des Observateurs du Soleil / Meeting of sun observers)

Clear sky 5/5

 

We had an almost perfect day to observe the sun. There was around 10 telescopes to observe the sun from the coronado PST 40mm to the magnificient Lunt Solar 152mm ! Some telescopes with Ha filter some other only in visible light with a baader filter or Herschel filter.

 

The event was from 9AM to 5PM with conferences on the sun between the observing times of the sun. This event occurs once a year and it's my first attending. It was really a great day.

 

I made a drawing and I will post it here tomorrow.

Yes indeed. A 10k$ telescope always gives great views. The details on the sun's surface were amazing through it. Nice Sun Spots, flares and Prominences,
