Well things just got a whole lot better.

Using a colour image kindly donate by Mike I have combined the two.

Lum taken with a 127mm Helios Frac and the Atik 314 L

Colour taken with a 200mm Newt and a Canon 350 D

Steps taken.

1 - Load Mikes colour Tif into PS 6 and process.

2 - Save the image.

3 - Load this image and my original lum image into PS 6.

4 - Adjust the colour image resolution to match that of my Lum image taken with the Atik.

5 - Save the adjusted colour image result.

6 - Load the new colour image and the lum image into Maxim and stack.

7 - Save the result from Maxim as a Tif and load back into PS 6.

8 - Process the image in PS 6.

9 - Sit back with a stupid grin from ear to ear at the result.

Many thanks to Mike and his brilliant colour image for making this possible.

Thanks Steve.

It was chatting to you the other night gave me the idea to try after you said you were using your canon to get the RGB on that nights target.

I did not even know it was possible to do this until you said. :2thumbsup:

It didn't need the colour imo but it's none the worse for it.

You are probably right the B&W has much better contrast and definition to it.

I did it just to see if I could. ;)

Yes learning is great and long may it continue :)
