It's funny how the evening starts with the spring objects and ends with the summer ones. A bit schizophrenic! From the spring sky, something we decided to call Markarian's Ball and Chain. This exoploits the field of the Tak FSQ106/Atik 11000. Then there's the Blackeye in the resident ODK14/Mesu Mount 200/ SXVH36. From the summer end we're working on the Sadr region. Incredibly enough this two panel Ha had just 45 mins for the southern half and an hour for the northern. W'll shoot more, of course, but I think this is looking fairly sound already. The Atik 11000 seems like a good Ha hoover. We caught an hour per channel of RGB for the southern part. The red was shot very low so the stars bloated somewhat. I've since improved the processing to control this but here's the original for now. You can't image this region without dreaming of running the mosaic right up to include the North America and Pelican. Now for that it would be SO handy to have two FSQ/Atik 11000s working on a tandem rig, right? Watch this space... Olly Coming soon, the Antennae. I have the data but not enough hours in the day!!
