Lunar mosaic test for SW200pds

Recommended Posts

I was pleased to get a chance to test the Skywatcher 200pds I collected from Ron last night.

Had to rush a bit to beat the cloud.

Skywatcher 200pds on EQ6, QHY IMG0H camera.

19 tile mosaic, approx 500 frames each captured in Firecapture and stacked in Registax 6, stitched with Microsoft ICE.

Looking good Paul.

For a rush job you sure have got some detail in there.

Is the moon that full already! That was quick. Where have the last two weeks gone!

Great image. Really inspirational to see this kind of work, and as said above, the detail is great.

Where did you learn how to do a mosaic?

I just picked stuff up off the forums James.

TBH the software does the work making the mosaic, only thing with ICE, it's best to crop the edges of each tile. Photoshop blends better but my copy of pse 8 struggles with a lot of tiles.

I would too, always missing bits of the Moon and there's a lot more land marks to go by.

I think the Skymax 150 will have to go.
