Like most have been keeping an eye on the weather for this weekend , and it looks like tonight is going to be really clear , well...... the weather man has just given it a green light

I have been dieing to have a real late night with my scope , everytime I get to use my C8 ( only had it 6 weeks ) I have to get up for work or it clouds over , so I only get an hr or so

I'll probably have a play in my garden, the moon is only going to be 16 degrees high at most so hopefully not to bothersome.

The moon won't damage your eye's - not like looking at the sun. If you don't have a filter or can't borrow one then you can dim the view by putting the cap on the end of the tube and removing the small offset hole cap. Works fine on a 200P. :)

I keep forgetting about that damned cap!   Thanks for reminding me!

When I try to look at it with full aperture it is very painful that's why :(

I've done plenty of lunar observing with the 24" at Sherwood Observatory and never had a problem, until its time to come down the ladder and I can't see anything!
