Wedge ease of use

Thinking of buying a wedge for the LX90 to improve my DSLR attempts, Has anyone any experience mounting a scope onto a wedge as I'm concerned that it may be too much for my advanced years, 68 and increasing. Can manage scope to straight tripod fine.

I have a wedge for the CPC925 Chris. I wind the Alt down to zero so it's level with the top of the mount and then install the scope and wind it up to whatever latitude I'm at. Putting it on at an angle is way too awkward - but the HD wedge is nicely engineered and winds up from level really very easily. Just one thing though - make sure you always have a leg under the back of the wedge or it will tip over once you put the scope on it. :)

Thanks Kim, looking at the Meade wedge it only moves between 25 and 65 degrees and if memory serves the Astro Engineering offering does not drop flat either, will have to persue. Warning reguarding leg position duely noted.

Thanks Chris
