Just visited RSPB centre at Bempton Cliffs and at last I've seen puffin's in the flesh, or feathers.

Wonderful birds! We went to Bempton last year in early August expecting to see them only to find they'd gone out to sea, so I was determined to time it right this year.

The shear numbers of gannets, razorbills and guillemots is pretty amazing too. The RSPB book reckoned it's an area for manx shearwaters and I thought I'd seen loads until I realised they were guillemots.

Also look for Little Auks, a lot harder to spot but once again a fantastic little bird.
