Hello strangers  :)

As June, July and August is not perfect for DSO imaging with an uncooled DSLR and I had a free night I thought I would give the budget APO a run out. The bigger FoV over my 120 is appealing so I fired a few subs off on the North American nebula;

12x300s ISO 800 Starwave ED80/0.8 FR/Canon 450D/Astronomik 12nm Ha clip in filter.

Acquisition via APT. Stacked with Nebulosity 3. Basic processing in PixInsight.

I really wish I'd gone ahead with the cooling mod for the Canon. Anything over 300s - the noise is terrible.

It's possible a cooled CCD will be purchased this Winter after all  :facepalm:

Thanks for looking.

Regards.
