Decided to try a new target for me tonight, the Pacman Neb.

The focus does change slightly over a long period of time. As the target moves across the sky the amount of atmosphere you are shooting through changes with the angle, the scope will also change very slightly due to expansion and contraction with the air temperature.  :)

Ok, that's useful to know. Do people repeatedly use a bhatinov mask to re focus, or is there another trick when you are essentially in the right ball park and just need a micro-adjustment.

I use a bat mask but if any one knows an auto system program I would love to here about it.

focus max :wacko:  if you are very brave :o ........ and i am not :lol:  they keep elling me to use it with my set up, but i am too chicken.


but i think it requires a moonlight focuser or a feathertouchj like mine,  i am sure someone with more knowledge will advise
