Supernova SN 2013ej in M74

A bit of a rough image but I was keen to get an shot of this.


 


6 x 600 second subs, Canon 1100d on SW200pds, guided NEQ6.


 


I'm going by other images on the internet so I hope I've marked the correct object  ;). Sorry for satellite trail but I guess that's the danger on longer subs and I wanted to use all the data I had.

Yes, I find it incredible that we are seeing an individual star in another galaxy.


 


The light pollution must be pretty bad for any astronomers in the M74 galaxy.

I wonder how easy it is to see visually, I will have to try next time I'm out.


 


If successful it will be my fourth SN.

No, but I would have thought it would be possible in a larger scope. We'll have to give it a try next weekend.
