Tom O'Donoghue has decided to leave his Tak FSQ106/EM200/Atik 11000 here, which is extra nice since our own setup is identical.

So double speed imaging! Wheee....

This is also a first light for the most absurdly expensive astro widget I have yet bought, an Astrodon 2 inch 3 Nm Ha filter. It cost one seventh of the price of the (excellent) car I bought new six years ago. Send me psychiatric help! However, it is an incredibly good filter, well ahead of the Baader 7 Nm we were using previously. We aim to please...

Eagle and Swan, RGB of 150 mins per channel all in, using both rigs. Ha from the Astrodon is from just one scope and a tad under 3 hours. One single panel. Although a guy on the French forum thinks otherwise, I feel that combining two cameras for a set total exposure time gives less noise than you'd get from a single camera. I feel vindicated by this image because a nasty column defect in the older camera normally needs the healing brush. In the combined image it just isn't there. The combined camera data was truly sweet.

I had higher res data for the Eagle (ODK14) and Swan (TEC140) so I blended this in for the cores of the respective nebulae. It really only matters in the full size version.

Does anyone else see the head and face of an old English queen in the Swan or is it just me.
