DSO was dominated by Ibbo this month, including this narrowband M82, http://www.eastmidla.../489-m82-in-nb/.

Kheldar got first light with his new reflector, M52 and the Bubble, http://www.eastmidla...547-m52-bubble/.

andyboy1970 posted a nice Lunar close-up, http://www.eastmidla...lunar-close-up/.

Jupiter featured heavily in the Planetary section.

andyboy 1970 posted an animation of the GRS, http://www.eastmidla...it-12-jan-2012/.

red dwalf posted some nicely coloured banding, http://www.eastmidla...jupiter-images/

andyboy1970 also pointed out some fine detail on Mars, http://www.eastmidla...6-mars-15jan12/.

This weeks winner is Kheldar with a nicely framed pair of DSO's, the Bubble clearly showing.

Next month Altair Astro at www.altairastro.com have kindly donated a prize for Picture of the Month, so keep the images coming.

The winning submission will receive an Altair Astro 2" 2x ED Barlow lens as a prize, good luck.
