Registax - what's the largest image size that can be processed?

I took some lunar shots with my camera at 18MP. Tried to stack 12 of them, but got out of memory errors, with tiifs and raw. Tried stacking just 6 and had same problem. Has anyone got any experience of what it'll handle? Doesn't help that it's a 32 bit app and can only address 4 GB :(

i had the same probs with my dslr. raw, tiff files dont work in registax.

the thing i did was get Backyard EOS.  you can then shoot a short movie and it will save the file as an avi. plus the x5 option is very handy(no need for barlows)

registax will then stack the frames from the movie to create the pic

I stack 6mb RAW files with Registax for my Lunar shots. I have to use v5.1 though, 6 won't do it. Not had any issues but it does slow everything down for a bit whilst it works on them. I typically stack 40 images for a Lunar image.
