Went back to an old favorite tonight M27.

I had such hi hopes for this after the first couple of subs rolled in but alas the clouds had other ideas.

Two thirds into sub number three the sky went from clear to wall to wall cloud and there it stayed.

Still not to worry I managed to salvage this from the wreckage.

only 2 subs at 600 seconds.

Stacked in Maxim

Dragged out what I could in PS6.

Lovely and crisp; great image even looking at it on my little phone screen.

One of my favourites (probably because it's one of the few DSOs i've ever imaged).

There is no surrounding gas cloud which i've seen on other peoples images of it; does that not show up in hydrogen alpha or it just needs more data?

Your inages are great Graham, that filter has given you even more vigour.

Great image Graham, are you going to go for the RGB filter set up eventually?  :)

I logged in to ask the same! Nice image Graham.

Thanks folks.

The answer to your RGB question  is yes.

I have a filter wheel arriving for my b/day in a couple of weeks so a full set of filters and yet another steep learning curve is on its way.
