VdB152 and PN G111.1+11.6

When I came to process this I had a surprize because I thought the dust lane associated with VdB152 was quite short. It isn't, as you can see! Had I known I would have rotated the cameras to see where it led.  :facepalm2:

To its left is a PN only discovered in 1980, which seems remarkable. It will be worth a good Ha dose at some time to try to pull out the strand of signal glimmering in a line from the reflection nebula, and some O111 would help the PN.  All in all a more interesting bit of sky than I was expecting.

That is a remarkable picture there Olly.

I am assuming the single thin red line is the shock wave from the pn.

I take it you will be going back to this with rotated cameras and all filters.

Love to see that when its done.

I'm not sure whether or not the Ha emission is associated with the PN. It's possible but could it be a tidal effect creating a shock front?

I will certainly try for some Ha.

Olly what do you use to focus your scopes.

I have looked at the hi res picture and the focus is perfect right down to the smallest stars.

If I could get mine to within half of that I would be well pleased.

Also whilst studding the hi res picture I noticed that the thin red wave is curving away from the bottom left corner in a near perfect arc.

Could you have found the remnants of a sn ??
